Jules War
The band Jules War grew out of singer-songwriter Eszter Lovasi’s unique musical project. The band’s signature enchanting dream pop and introspective lyrics came together on their full-length album, The Greatest Climber on Earth, released in late 2024.
The band’s name is derived from the singer’s nickname, Juliska, while War refers to the inner struggles one's have. This theme even runs through the band’s last two releases (Berlin; Not for the Thrill). Alongside the singer, the band features Domonkos Szilágyi on drums, Balázs Bajnok on guitar, and Márton Lévai on keyboards.
Despite its short history, the recently formed Jules War has already garnered numerous accolades: they performed at one of Europe’s largest showcase festivals, ESNS, and have also played at Poland’s Next Fest and BuSH. Soon, their guaranteed-to-give-you-goosebumps songs will be heard at Waves Vienna. In addition to Budapest Park, the general public can catch them at the country’s most significant festivals and at Germany’s Superbloom.
